About the Position
Are you an innovative and analytical real estate professional? The Maricopa County Real Estate Department is looking for a Principal Right-of-Way Agent to oversee complex acquisition projects, initiate and manage intergovernmental agreements for the acquisition/exchange of right-of-way, and perform high-level data analysis/reporting related to project tracking and resource management. We will look to you to manage and complete complex special assignments and serve as the liaison between the Real Estate Department, the Department of Transportation, and the Flood Control District.

We maintain the real property data on County-owned and leased facilities and acquire/lease/dispose of County real property. We Require
- Bachelors degree in business administration, public administration, real estate, or a closely related field
- Four years of experience in real estate, property management, right-of-way acquisition, or other related areas, with experience conducting complex research and analysis
- Combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis
Job Contributions
- Draft, process, and manage intergovernmental agreements related to the acquisition/exchange/transfer of ROW
- Manage condemnation cases in cooperation with the Maricopa County Attorneys Office and the Real Estate Directors Office
- Manage and complete complex projects related to right-of-way acquisition and regulatory compliance
- Coordinate with the Department of Transportation on project priorities, budget management, and regulatory compliance; update, gather, analyze and summarize information related to project clearance and workload
- Provide analytical and operational project support from inception to completion, including developing scopes, and evaluating progress to ensure that all project goals and timelines are achieved
Working Conditions
- Work is performed in an office environment - Occasional in-state travel may be required - Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
